The Classic Tube Reverb Unit, Foot Switch, and Canvas Cover arrived this morning (Thu, 02/17/2022 at 10:55 am) via FedEx in excellent condition thanks to your superb shipment packaging! I carefully opened the box, paying attention to the opening instructions on the top and bottom. I read your general amplifier instructions. Then I connected everything together (footswitch to the reverb unit, my Stratocaster to the reverb unit, reverb unit to my guitar amplifier, and reverb unit power to the mains). I powered up everything and proceeded to Carl’s Reverb Heaven!!!!!! The Carl’s Custom Amps Classic Tube Reverb Unit has the reverb sound I’ve been searching for. The digital reverb pedals I had been using are all green with envy! Thank you for building this wonderful addition to my guitar equipment.

The fit and finish of the lacquered tweed reverb unit is over the top – a work of art! It’s almost as much fun to look at the reverb unit as it is to listen to its sound. The quality of the foot switch and canvas cover are stellar.

“Howdy, Carl! Your reverb unit is making EXACTLY the famous surf sound i wished for. With all the controls at 2 o’clock it makes that Dick Dale splash that none of my vintage fenders can make. The thing that really surprises me is that it makes so many other famous sounds- I have built this circuit twice before, (I’m an EET) and it sounded good, but no anything like yours. I noticed the layout change and torroid pt, and the full wave rec, Man! You really EXCEED your own claim of “handwired excellence”. All the knobs on the reverb unit at 9 o’colck into your Blonde 40 watt with everything at 1 o’clock is a sound I’ve never really heard, but i just can’t quit listening to it and smiling. Hats off to you! Thanks again!!! Love it!”

I can tell you build to the highest standard possible before putting your name on anything, thanks for that! Getting harder to find that as a the rule rather than the exception.

I've often heard that outboard tanks have a volume drop, but I don't notice any with yours, actually seems like a slight presence boost when engaged, which is awesome!”

"Hey Carl. I picked up the reverb unit Monday. Arrived in good health, looks great, sounds great. Build quality is clearly excellent. Thank you for your good work and prompt service on this order. I'm still getting to know the unit, discovering settings, and getting a feel for how it reacts to the front end of my amp (currently using it with a Mesa LSC and it sounds huge...got a few other Fender-type amps (including a Tungsten Cortez, i.e. 5e3!) I'll be trying it on as well). Some gorgeous tones...huge range with the reverb, and the tremolo sounds great too. So pleased to find a unit with post-reverb bias vary tremolo. And its quiet as a mouse."
